A famous quote by Swami Vivekananda reflects the power and strength of education.
Being a professional course, the faculty of education aims at an integral and personalized training of young learners through Integral Pedagogy Context, Experience, Reflection, Action and Evaluation to be well-motivated teachers who will be intellectually competent, morally upright, socially committed and spiritually inspired. It is our mission that the students who take their training here, become well-informed guides who will accompany the young learner on his or her journey of becoming a fully human person.

The Faculty of Education further aims at promoting values such as respect for Indian common cultural heritage, egalitarianism, democracy, secularism, equality of sexes, protection of environment, removal of social barriers, responsible use of cybernetics and mass media, transparency and probity in private and public life, observance of small family norms, national unity, and respect for religious and moral values. In addition, several in-service programs are also conducted for teachers and administrators already working in schools, so as to update them on educational issues and findings and to develop the required skills using modern information-technology and innovative practices. Besides, the faculty also undertakes documentation and research in relevant educational areas.

The profile of a graduate from the college should be such that he/she shall be able to:

  • Act as an active agent of social development while understanding and appreciating the inter-relationship between our healthy cultural heritage and its impact on education.
  • Provide entrepreneurs to the concerned society while utilizing the resources of the local community for the overall development of the school, the learners and the community.
  • Facilitate the learning process in the students by means of available learning resources and organizing educational activities and programs with special care for learners of specific needs.
  • Express respect and love for the individual needs of the learner.
  • Be free from prejudices and should be impartial in his/her dealings with learners.
  • Arrange various co-curricular activities for the overall development of the students by using media and appropriate instructional technologies.
  • Preserve proper balance of his/her life as a person of character, uphold the values of professional commitment and professional ethics and be an example to others with his/her intellectual honesty and moral integrity as well as loyalty to the institution to which he/se belongs.
  • Strive continuously to enhance his/her personality by the life-long process of learning through updated study and innovative research works; uphold his/her teaching as sacred and unchallengeable.

Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.)

Faculty of Education started its B. Ed. Program in the academic year 2014-15. Since its inception, the faculty of Education has been fulfilling the cherished dreams of the founders of this college in the direction of individual, social and national welfare. The Faculty of Education focuses upon Learning beyond Classrooms. The faculty imparts practice-oriented education through collaborative, cooperative, and conducive learning. It has a well-equipped library and laboratories with world-class infrastructure and all the required facilities for providing quality education to the students. Professionally qualified and experienced teachers are consistently performing for achieving their highest educational objectives.

 

 

Faculty of Education keeps on enhancing and exploring its skills to move forward with the new advanced world through various seminars, workshops, symposiums, conferences, etc.- It is effectively practicing the 3E formula i.e. Explore, Educate, Experience of BKA for achieving the set standards in the field of Teacher-Education.

Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)

Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) is a two-year teacher training program designed to equip aspiring educators with the necessary skills, knowledge, and pedagogical techniques to effectively teach young learners in primary schools. This course focuses on fostering a strong foundation in child psychology, curriculum development, classroom management, and innovative teaching methodologies.   

Upon successful completion of the D.El.Ed. program, graduates are well-prepared to embark on rewarding careers as primary school teachers, contributing to the holistic development of young minds and shaping the future of education.
